Amberley West Sussex
An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
.

The West Sussex villages of Amberley, Houghton Bridge and North Stoke, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the foot of the South Downs, flourish with pubs, B&B's and attractions, including the Amberley Wildbrooks and Amberley Working Museum. The area is popular for walking, birdwatching and other country pursuits.

Amberley has a 12th century church, a junior school, shop and post office, pottery, four pubs in the immediate area, a riverside restaurant, one of the finest country house hotels in the country, and a range of good value bed & breakfast accommodation. Visitors to Amberley in the past range from Charles II, who stayed at the castle, to World War 2 pilots, who were stationed at Tangmere and billeted at the Bridge Inn. It has attracted countless artists over the years.

We hope that having visited our website, we can tempt you to visit us in person and perhaps stay awhile. We look forward to welcoming you.
